I am an author, lyricist and theatrical producer. My first novel “Café Tempest: Adventures on a Small Greek Island” is a kind of "A Year in Provence" meets "Zorba the Greek. It's been described as a smart, funny, travel memoir that celebrates life, love, Shakespeare, and the redeeming power of retsina.
I hitchhiked to Greece in my first nomadic summer, and discovered my native land. I've been exploring it ever since -- hiking in the Pelion, kayaking in the Dodecanese, sailing the Aegean.
Maps are my recreational drug of choice. After wearing out five passports and four continents I decided to uncork my memories and imagination -- and a bottle or two of retsina -- to write "Café Tempest.” I invite you to my mythical island of Pharos, to laugh and dance in the hammock, not the cradle of Western civilization.
